Privacy Policy

Thank you for choosing LON (hereinafter referred to as "the App"). We understand the importance of your personal privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we access, use, store, and protect your information.

1. Information We Access

The App may access the following device features during use. All data is processed locally on your device:

2. Device Permissions

The App may request the following device permissions. You can enable or disable them at any time in your device settings:

Camera

Used for real-time scanning recognition and photo OCR recognition. Camera feed is processed in real time within the App only and is never recorded, saved, or transmitted. If you do not grant this permission, you can still use voice recognition, character library browsing, and other features.

Microphone

Used for real-time voice recognition. Audio data is processed on-device in real time only and is never recorded or uploaded. If you do not grant this permission, you can still use camera recognition, the character library, and other features.

Speech Recognition

Used to convert speech to text in order to identify corresponding Chinese characters. Speech recognition may use Apple's system-level Speech Framework, and related processing is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

3. Data Storage & Security

• All user data (including browsing history, theme preferences, and writing practice) is stored locally on your device
• We do not operate any servers to collect or store your personal information
• The App does not require account registration and does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information
• Uninstalling the App will automatically remove all locally stored data

4. Third-Party Services

The App may use the following system-level services:

• Apple Speech Framework: Used for speech-to-text functionality. Processing of voice data is governed by Apple's privacy policy. For details, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy
• Apple Vision Framework: Used for camera-based text recognition. All processing is performed on-device with no network transmission involved

Apart from the system frameworks listed above, the App does not integrate any third-party SDKs, advertising services, or analytics tools.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for users of all ages (rated 4+) and is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from any user, including children. The App contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no links to external websites.

6. Your Rights

Since the App does not collect or store any personal information on servers:

• Your data is entirely under your own control
• You can revoke camera, microphone, and other permissions at any time in your device settings
• You can delete all local data by uninstalling the App
• Records such as "Recent History" can be cleared directly within the App

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated through App update notes. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically to stay informed about our latest privacy practices.
